Jacqueline Jimmink
Special Guest Speaker
JMJ AmbachtsatelierBorn and raised on Texel in the Netherlands, Jacqueline Jimmink was ready after high school to go to the Multi-technical Jewelry and Goldsmith School (MTS) in Schoonhoven. She was young when she started creative activities, drew a lot and had an eye for detail. At the MTS she was introduced to a new world, that of metalworking, and learning to work with her hands. Handengraving became her passion. She soon came into contact with foreign countries due to the lack of practice in the Netherlands in the craft branch of handengraving. After all, technology was emerging during that period. Abroad, Jacqueline had important experiences in the most renowned engraving studios at world level and worked her way up to master engraver in Italy, where she ultimately stayed for twenty years. She had her own practice with a large network in her field. Ten years ago, Jacqueline returned to the Netherlands. She investigated how she could make handengraving accessible to everyone and started her own handengraving accademy on Texel, where she can shape her ideas and vision. With her passion and mission to share knowledge of now lost crafts, she is committed to inspiring people to do so. From the various disciplines that have shaped her, she brings attention to handengraving and enamelling in an accessible and creative way. Tough in metal! So you can do that too! She is now a trainer and instructor for various practices, schools and craft practitioners through her own international hybrid handengraving accademy in which she safeguards, shares and offers knowledge, both online and live during practical days on the island or on location. Her courses have gathered both national and international acclaim. She ensures that she is always aware of the latest developments and trends. This way she will be up to date at GCBE 2025 and ensures that every lesson is a party! Jacqueline's online presence can be explored further on her website: www.jacquelinejimmink.com
